This study was undertaken by SZFM Design Studio on behalf of the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA), in conjunction with The City of Sacramento’s Economic Development Department and the offices of City of Sacramento Councilwoman Sandy Sheedy. The study focused on Del Paso Boulevard, the main commercial corridor within the North Sacramento Redevelopement Area.

Working with the Del Paso Business Partnership (DPBP), SHRA, the City of Sacramento Planning and Economic Development Departments, Councilwoman Sheedy, and the area residents and property owners, SZFM gathered information and developed practical strategies for attracting new business and expanding existing businesses in the Del Paso Boulevard corridor.

SZFM reviewed previous plans and ordinances adopted by the City Council, the Planning, Building, and Transportation Departments and SHRA for the North Sacramento Redevelopment Area. The review included available market data from the City, photo surveys, and walkthroughs of the study area as well as review of the previous studies and implementation plans produced in previous years
.
This document is a compilation of the data gathered in the course of the investigation, combined with some ideas and strategies to better market Del Paso Boulevard and the North Sacramento area.
